Animal Crossing: Wild World is still my least played Animal Crossing game. To me, it just seems like City Folk but worse.
There's nowhere for you to escape to, you don't get any help with removing weeds, there are far fewer holidays and villagers than in other games, and above all, its control scheme makes no sense to me.
Seriously, who was in charge of making it so you couldn't use the touch screen and buttons at the same time?!
But, at the same time, I can see how one would see City Folk as a cheap rehash of Wild World back in 2008. City Folk uses the same music, more boring villager dialogue, and its key addition, the city, only has so many attractions. Seemingly, people in 2008 had this mindset, which can explain City Folk's poor sales.
