Hi! So, this is quite different from what I usually post. I usually keep politics out of this site. Trust me, it's much better that way.
Regular service will return shortly.
Just to be clear, this is about the 2024 United States presidential election, the first one I've really kept up with.
Anyway, in short, at the risk of making an opinion known online...

I'm disappointed by who won, and I'm genuinely worried about what's to come. But I can't say I'm not surprised by who won.

Imagine how I felt on Wednesday:
The day had gone by, along with the short week of school.
And yet, my heart sank.
The music running through my head was all wrong.
The results seemed all wrong.
And the future of the country I live in seemed uncertain.

So...

...where did it all go wrong?

Well...

OK, OK, sorry. That's for some lazy, zero-effort video essayist to make a lazy, zero-effort video essay about. I'm lookin' at you, [insert lazy, zero-effort video essayist here]!
And I'm not willing to become that (at least according to the good part of my brain).

By the way, these were the two main candidates for this year's election: a quite promising woman who many I know or just follow on social media wanted to win, and some old bloke I've taken to calling the Embodiment of Scarlet Orange Devil due to his dubious qualifications and his reactions to losing back in 2020.
To be honest, the former wasn't perfect either. She also supported a controversial incident happening elsewhere in the world, and she hadn't exactly done much during her vice presidency.

Despite that, I'm kinda disappointed that she lost. It especially hurt because I really wanted her to win the election.
And my parents weren't exactly happy, either. My father huffed and puffed the entire morning on Wednesday before I went to school.
But oh well, life sucks sometimes. Now, where's my Wii U?

And that whole day, I had some incredibly specific Undertale music run through my head that kinda convey somber moods. Y'know, stuff like its neutral ending song.

To be honest, I feel like in the past few years, people have been looking for reasons to promote conspiracy theories. Back in 2020, that happened when the Embodiment of Scarlet Orange Devil lost. And now, it's happening due to the other candidate's somewhat unexpected loss. There has been hard evidence that there has been attempts to disrupt this year's election, but the seemingly suspect lesser popular vote this year doesn't seem to be one of them.
But the desire to win is simply part of human nature.

But despite all the stuff that happened back in 2020, the Embodiment of Scarlet Orange Devil won this year.
Soon, it'll be the end of daylight.
And the beginning of an imperishable night.

Thanks for reading! Don't expect posts like this too often.
