A fairly experimental level.
A few years ago, ZUN made a Touhou-style shmup in Super Mario Maker, which inspired me to make my own. The Clown Car gives Mario a small hitbox, which is perfect for a bullet hell-style level. Flying Spinies fire spikes, which also helps. Some of the Koopalings also fire projectiles in a way that wouldn't be out of place in a Touhou game. There are three 1-ups you can get in this level. Two are very easy to get, while one might be a bit tricky. | |
